antigone feminazi
The main reason that men and women are considered to be so much different is because history and society shaped that belief. Society has shaped the idea that women have to worry about their image and if they don't they are lesbian. Society has shaped the belief that men have to be hard and tough, and if they are not then they are gay. Even though this idea is beginning to fade, men are still generally expected to be the provider putting both sexes at a disadvantage. The women are now judged differently when they are the providers. The men are put in a position to be judged if they are a stay at home dad. Either way both sexes are judged by the general belief of society. women are probably more judged by society because history has show a blatant thought that women are not as good as men. History is changing but still it is not completely at the point of no pejudice in society based on genders.

whats in the bag
I believe that it is impossible for a person to tell if he has control over his life or if it is determined by fate because it is impossible for a person to determine what his fate would be. In real life humans do not have an oracle to tell them their fate(un-like in Oedipus Rex). Since it is impossible for me to know what my fate is or if fate rules, all I believe Is that I do have control over my future. I still try to live my life by certain morals hoping that fate is possibly determined from a "Karma" based theory. I am able to look back on past experiences and realize what I could have done better or worse. Some people believe that proves that fate exists. For example, if a person's goal of being a teacher fails, and he/she ends up working at a fast food restaurant, he or she might think this is fate. This person hates working in the fast food restaurant, but he/she keeps doing it because he believes that it is his fate. That person is doing wrong because there are so many opportunities in this world to find something he loves. This fast food industry worker could find something he/she loves and bend her possible fate. It is also possible that finding something else she loves after working in the fast food industry is her fate. That is an example of why a person cannot determine what his fate is, and if he has any free will.

Oedipus Rex shows that a person already has predetermined destiny, and the relationship between fate and freewill is that there is no freewill in Oedipus' life. The Oracle said that the son of Iocaste would kill his father and sleep with his mother. From when Oedipus was a baby,(when his parents were in complete control) his parents tried to bend the fate that had been predetermined for Oedipus. Iocaste gave baby Oedipus away to a Shepard which gave Oedipus away to a person in Thebes. Iocaste attempted to change the oracles prediction but her attempt failed and Oedipus ended up back in Thebes in a better position to fulfill the oracles prediction. This recurring Motif shows Oedipus throughout the story that he has no free will. Finally a final desperate attempt to show him self that he has freewill he gouges his eyes out.

MLK essay
Martin Luther King did many things that were "big deals." He bent a nation's opinion through complete devotion to a cause, he made himself a legend, and finally he gave himself power to better mankind. King's devotion to a just cause formed a harder work ethic for people in years to come. King made himself the embodiment of hard work, dedication, peace, justice, love, and much more.
King's letter from Birmingham jail shows how hard he must have worked to build up such an abundance of knowledge. King had no editing or outside sources and he composed a perfectly written letter with many Quotes from historical figures that were perfectly presented in his paper. King made his obvious abundance of knowledge known without making it difficult for the common man to understand. He had as much or more knowledge than most scholars in history, yet he wrote for common people. King's abundance of knowledge and modesty in writing helped mold him into a symbol that gave him great power.
His idea of treating every person like he was your brother keyed off his power to change the world. This idea of brotherly love tells a person (black, white, latino, or anything else) that you should treat your fellow man with the upmost love and respect. King advocated so much power in society from this theory. This theory inspired a peaceful civil rights movement. Peace was actually a much stronger weapon than violence. When a white Alabama police officer beat a black person to a bloody pulp, the peace movement gained more power. This showed people the brutality of humans. Through that brutality the peace movement gained strength and inspired more people to fight. This showed that the fight for peace was much stronger than any violent fight a person could produce.
Finally, at one point in King's "letter from Birmingham jail" he talks about being a radical. At first, being a radical sounded bad to him. Then King realized that some of the greatest people in history were radicals. These great people were not radically violent; but radicals for love. King sought and found his power through love of all. King's persistance and dedication to the bettering of mankind gave power to change the minds of a nation.

oedipus' rex
Part II
1."Poor children! You may be sure I know all that you looked for in your coming here. I know that you are deathly sick; and yet, sick as you are not one is sick as I." Pg. 962 line 20-24.
"whoever killed king Lai'os might who knows?-decide at any moment to kill he as well." Pg. 964 line 140-141
2.Trying to find how to help Thebes.
3.It gives the audience a visual of the problems at Thebes.
4.Some motifs are arrogance,pride,Irony,Self pity,honer, and tragedy.
5.The chorus is singing aboiut how the city is scared but there god will bring the city out of this hard time quickly. They also say that Teirsias' is lying.

"You killed him with you own hands: if you had eyes, I'd say the crime was yours, and yoiurs aloe."
these two quotes were Teiresias' roles.
"I can if there is power is truth."
"I have gone free. It is the truth that susrains me."
These quotes show Teiresias' internal conflict.

4.The fact that Oedipus does not realize that the murderer that he is looking for is actually him.
5. When Teiresias' says that the killer is in thebes, which is true because the true killer is Oedipus.
6. It is saying that the true killer will be revealed on account of pride and guilt.
